Где играли тихие дельфины, далеко от зелени земли,
Нарываясь по ночам на скалы, молча умирают корабли.
Суматошливый, большой и хрупкий, человек не предает мечты, --
Погибая, он спускает шлюпки, сбрасывает сонные плоты.
Синевой охваченный, он верит, что земля любимая близка,
Что ударится о светлый берег легкая, как жалоба, доска.
Видя моря яростную смуту, средь ночи, измученный волной,
Он еще в последнюю минуту бредит берегом и тишиной.
